Who we are:

Nestled just outside the quaint historic village of Lewiston, we are a caring private practice specializing in the pediatric care of children from infancy right on up to college. Although located in a small community setting, we provide care to a large region, drawing patients from all over Western New York and even Southern Ontario. We welcome all patients to our practice!

Exceptional and loving care:

As every parent will agree, we believe that children are the most valuable things in the world. We truly understand and appreciate the great trust which is given to us by our families, and we find it a great joy, not an obligation, to care for your children 24 hours/day and 7 days/week.

We recognize that infants and children are not just “little adults” and caring for them requires a very specialized knowledge of their unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs. We also feel that this care should be given with a loving, supportive approach. Whether we are following a toddler’s speaking skills, helping a worried mother on the telephone regarding her infant’s fever, or just giving a child a pat of support on the back for reaching a goal, we will be right along with you, every step of the way.

We are just the right size for you….and your child:

When coming to visit our office, you will not face an endless list of health care providers. We’re a cozy practice and we like it that way! We find great joy in being able to create a very close relationship with each and every one of our patients and families. Not only does this allow us to provide the best possible health care, but we find it very rewarding being able to “grow up” along with the children we care for. We are sure that you will find our office to be of a comfortable size, supported by a very caring and qualified staff of professionals who are willing to go out of their way to help you.

Compassionate care with a modern flare:

Although we love to embrace our “small village feel,” at Rainbow Pediatrics we offer current cutting edge pediatric care. All of our providers are constantly abreast of new changes within the field, and in addition to practicing modern guidelines, we utilize an extensive electronic medical records (EMR) system which allows us to more qualitatively and accurately manage our patient’s needs, and to better facilitate communication with other health care providers and specialists in the community. We also have the capability of sending prescriptions electronically to pharmacies in the area, often saving our patients from longer wait times as their medications are prepared. We are connected to WNY’s HEALTHeLINK for clinical information exchange, as well as New York State’s online NYSIIS program which helps to track and follow patient’s vaccine schedules.

Extended Evening Hours: Monday & Thursday, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Well Visits)
Saturday, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. (Sick Visits Only)

---Are you aware that we offer free courtesy prenatal visits?

We understand that choosing a pediatrician is a very important decision for you, and having to worry about that on top of the adjustments you are trying to make in preparation for your newest family member may at times feel overwhelming. We are always happy to meet with parents prior to delivery so that you may get to know us and our office. We are confident that you will feel confident in trusting us with your care. Please feel free to contact us at (716) 297-0052 to schedule a time which works best.

---The physicians at Rainbow Pediatrics maintain hospital privileges at Mt St Mary’s Hospital, and will be delighted to visit your baby during every day of your stay. We will also personally attend any “high risk” deliveries such a C-sections. If you happen to deliver elsewhere, simply inform the hospital staff that you will be attending our office so that all records may promptly be sent to us. This will allow us to best be able to care for your infant immediately after discharge.

---As soon as your baby is born, you should add him or her to your insurance policy as soon as possible. Please do not list “Rainbow Pediatrics” as your PCP, but choose one of our physicians. You are always welcome to see any of our healthcare providers, regardless of who you chose as your PCP.
